Working with Custom CSV files

< Back

Sellware support a streamlined import process for clients utilizing CSV and Flat files to import product and inventory data.

Below is a sample file demonstrating a subset of available fields.

After saving the CSV File, it can be imported from the Product Catalog.

Within the Listing Templates, any of the column header names (for example “parent_sku”) can be used as a macro to pull the CSV value into your Listing templates.  Items with a “custom:” prefix can be created as needed, and referenced in the Listing Templates.  In the example below, “custom:ebay_price” has been added to pull in a macro to be used to define the price to be used when listing in ebay.

When in the listing templates, you can reference any of the fields in the CSV header to build your listings.  In the Starting Price field below, we are pulling in the ebay_price from the CSV file to build this listing.

Once you have imported your CSV data, and created your Listing templates, you can import your files to get started.

Your new Products will now be imported, and ready for Listing.  Simply select the Items that you want to send to a specific Listing Template, and Perform on Selected-> Create Listing.

Select the desired template to apply, and update any of the fields that pertain to your listing (new vs override)

Should there be any error in the listing process, the will be highlighted in your log file for review.

Click on the Listings box to review your Report if needed.  Your listings will be scheduled for uploading into the appropriate marketplace.
